Hudson Players Club was founded in 1948 to serve Hudson and the surrounding communities,
and is now the longest-running community theatre group in the province of Quebec.
Who we are?
The Hudson Players Club is a community theatre company presenting work in the beautiful town of Hudson, Quebec.
Our mandate is simple: foster an appreciation of theatre in our community, and develop the capacity to engage fully in the theatre experience.
The Hudson Players Club is so proud to be the longest-running, English-language theatre company in the province of Quebec.
A volunteer-based community organization, we are always seeking performers of all experience levels.
One of the reasons for our success is the continuing dedication of our members and community whose invaluable volunteering efforts and ongoing support have contributed to our organisations many accomplishments over the years.
Auditions are coming soon for our Spring production of ‘Whose Wives are they Anyway?’

Hudson Players Club’s Theatre Workshop Series
STAGE MANAGEMENT WORKSHOP
SATURDAY NOVEMBER 21st 9am – 2pm at the HUDSON COMMUNITY CENTRE. (Downstairs)
This workshop is a must for ALL theatre people, whether you are an aspiring stage manager, actor, director or designer as it gives fundamental information on the whole process of creating a theatrical production. It will be more than a lecture style as participants will be working with scripts and worksheets.
This furthers the club’s policy of encouraging our members and the community as a whole to improve and increase their theatrical skills, both on and off stage. Thanks to the initiative of Mary Vuorela, we will welcome Carolyn Murdoch to lead our workshop on Stage Management.
Ms. Murdoch is a graduate of Mount Alison University and the National Theatre
School of Canada, where she later taught Stage Management.
For the past 10 years she has been part of the JAC Theatre Department. The Stage Manager plays a pivotal role in any production, he/she is responsible for everything that goes on back-stage and on performance nights is in total command of the show! So, for those of you who would like to learn more about this challenging role, this workshop is for you!
The workshop is FREE for club members and $20.00 for non-members. Membership dues are $15.00 for adult and $5.00 for youth (under 18).
The workshop starts at 9a.m. and the club will provide a light lunch at noon.
IMPORTANT: Please reserve your place at the workshop by Saturday November 14th by contacting Mary Vuorela –email@example.com or 450 458 4230 Or Mary Jefferies – firstname.lastname@example.org
or 450 458 4185 as spaces are limited.
Don’t miss this opportunity of widening your stage skills, we are never too old to learn (or too young!)
